Your consultation will give you the opportunity to meet our team, see our office, learn more about your orthodontic treatment needs, and find out which treatment options will best meet your needs.

 

During your first visit, we will:

•Review your medical and dental history forms

•Complete a full orthodontic examination

•Discuss recommended treatment options

•Answer your questions

•Provide financial information if treatment is recommended

Each patient is unique: after your initial consultation, you’ll know the best timing to start treatment. If your child is not ready for treatment yet, they may join our complimentary monitoring program, during which we will monitor tooth eruption and bite development until the appropriate time to start treatment arrives.

 

If treatment is indicated, we will set up an appointment to take full orthodontic records: a scanned study model, digital x-rays, and photos. Using your records, the Drs. Kessels' and Bouwens will make an individualized treatment plan to meet your needs, and the plan will be discussed at a Treatment Consultation appointment a few weeks later prior to starting treatment. From there, we’ll see you about every four to eight weeks.
